Professional Experience
In the Summer of 2021, I and 6 other interns collaborated on a Research Project in Collaboration with BNIM. We conducted research and development for a theoretical business plan or architectural firm that may be better suited to tackle the Affordable Housing Issue in KCMO.
In the Summer of 2023 I had the pleasure of traveling to Washington DC to work full time at KGD Architecture. Through this opportunity I was able to begin my NCARB record and rack up 367 AXP Licensure hours though work on Affordable Housing feasibility studies, higher education projects, and design award presentations. While there, I also had the opportunity to present some of my personal housing research to the firm during a lunch and learn.
In the Spring and Summer of 2025 I worked for BRR Architecture. In this role I learned a great deal about Construction Detailing, Design Development, Documentation, and Programming & Analysis. Working in an efficient and systematic group structure, I was able to build up my AXP hours to a total of 1,456. I am incredibly motivated to re-enter the profession upon graduation and pursue liscensure.
